Today is my husband's 35th Birthday!!! :) I started dating him when he was 25 - crazy how the time just flies! To celebrate my parents treated us to lunch along with my seester Madeline and her boyfriend Matt at the best BBQ place in Wichita Falls - The Branding Iron! It was delicious and so nice to spend time with my family during the work day!
Me and my birthday boy! :) I love you Philip!
I can't wait to go out later tonight and celebrate :)
And because it's Friday and it's been awhile since I've played along in Lauren's Fill in the Blanks I thought I would - especially since it has to do with hair and I just scheduled an appointment to get my hair did tonight when I get off work and I'm SUPER excited about it! :) So I'll have cute hair when we go out tonight :) Even though I'm not doing anything drastic and just getting a trim - I haven't had a hair cut in AGES! Isn't it sad that I can't remember the last time I got it cut? This is def the longest I've ever had it - I like to think of it as my mermaid hair :)
1. My last haircut was I can't even tell you - that's how LONG it's been! Crazy right? Which is why I'm so excited about getting it cut tonight! .
2. My most daring hair moment was when I cut it all off and had it short like Mandy Moore's hair style at the time. Growing up I always had short hair. But this was def. the shortest I ever had it and I LOVED it! Philip had just got out of the hospital after being in there for quite some time (he has ulcerative colitis for those of you who don't know and sometimes it can get really scary!) and as soon as we left to go home I just decided to chop off my hair. It was like therapy or something. I'll have to find an old picture and share it with you guys because I LOVED that hairstyle :) Sometimes I dream about going short again....
3. A hairstyle I'd never be brave enough to try is getting my hair permed. I REALLY want to get a perm, but I'm too scared to. Every time I watch Grey's Anatomy I have serious hair envy of Christina's hair! I just want beach looking wavy hair and I'm afraid I'd end up looking like a poodle if I ever got brave enough to do it.
4. I've always dreamt of being a (blonde, brunette or red-head) blonde because I could never be a blonde with my features! I have never once dyed my hair. That's also another thing I'm too scared to do.
5. My go-to hair do is down, straight and side swept bangs (although right now my bangs are so grown out they are non-existent. I'm excited about seeing my bangs again after my hair cut!).
6. My biggest hair disaster was the time I tried to cut my hair to look like Victoria Beckham's when she first cut it real short. I had a bob like her forever (to this day the bob is my most FAVOURITE hairstyle of alllll time) so when she cut it I naturally had to cut mine (I was a HUGE Posh Spice fan!) It was AWFUL! It did not look like hers at all, I looked like I had a chili bowl haircut lol I think that was the only time I was ever in tears after a haircut.
7. A hairstyle I am dying to try is the sex kitten look (aka the bombshell look), blunt bangs (which just never seem to look right on me no matter how hard I try! Side swept is just the style I'm destined to have! or going super short again like Victoria.
Sex Kitten Look:
Oh Cindy circa early 90's...sigh! Still gorgeous today!
Blunt Bangs:
Pixie Cut:
8. My best hair day was any day it doesn't look flat - like it does today! see photo above!
10. My hair is long, coarse, thick, onyx .
