Asian Games medal tally 2010: Latest updates. Malaysia thrashed Indian hopes in Asian games twice. While the men’s hockey team defeated in the semifinals the women squash team also filed to reach the final. Both teams were crushed by Malaysians after a thrilling performance in Guangzhou. Games host China still reins on the top with record medal haul.
China is now hundred times ahead with 165 yellow medals while South Korea trails with just 65 Golds. Asian super power once again showed its sports spirit touching the Doha record of 165 gold medals. The Chinese stars are continuing the medal haul while two more days remain to end the Games. The hosts have outshined others both in track and field with record medal harvest.

Meanwhile, the CWG hosts are struggling to save the face after a humiliating defeat to Malaysia in Hockey. Former Olympic champions were crushed by 4-3 by Malaysians in the semifinals. The fall at the threshold of final event has pushed hockey coach to quit his post. The aftershocks of the defeat may be much larger as the team reach back in home.

As the closing day of the Games comes nearer India got another shock from Malaysia defeating their squash team too. While India's Anaka Alankamony lost 2-11, 4-11, 6-11 to Wee Wern Low in 22 minutes World No. 37 Joshna Chinappa was defeated by World No.1 Nicol David 4-11, 2-11 3-11 in 18 minutes.

However, the women team has secured two bronze to increase the medal tally. Indian hopes are now on its men team who will take on Pakistan in the semifinal today.
