Young Americans earn wildcards

Americans Ryan Harrison and Lauren Davis will join France's Virginie Razzano and Benoit Paire as wildcards at next year's Australian Open.
Harrison and Davis won their respective Open Wildcard Play-offs in Atlanta, while the French Tennis Federation (FTF) selected Razzano and Paire to take the wildcards received in a reciprocal agreement with Tennis Australia.
The Australian governing body hand out one wildcard to the United States Tennis Association and the FTF for each of the men's and women's singles main draws in exchange for the same deal for Australians at both the US Open and the French Open.
Harrison gained plenty of fans when he defeated seed Ivan Ljubicic at Flushing Meadows in August, while 17-year-old Davis fought her way into the main draw in Melbourne by emphatically upsetting Coco Vandeweghe in the play-off final 6-2 6-2.
The 113rd-ranked Razzano and 21-year-old Paire were both selected to take the spots in their respective 128-strong draws, starting in Melbourne on January 17.
