Dirk Kuyt was born on 22nd of July 1980 in Katwijk aan Zee, a small fisherman’s town near the Noordzee. He was the third of four children. He was raised mainly by his mother, while his father was often out on the open sea.

Kuyt [the "Kuy" is pronounced like "cou" in "couch"] learned to play football on the beaches of Katwijk. When he was ready to join a club as a five year old, he choose to play for Quick Boys, instead of VV Katwijk, a club that was very near his house.

When he was twelve years old, Kuyt had to choose between aspiring to become a fisherman or a footballer. He turned down the offer of an apprenticeship as a fisherman as while at sea, he would miss most of the midweek training sessions. He soon made a name for himself in fotballing circles, and not just because of his remarkably blond hair.

In March 1998, after several years in Katwijk’s youth team, Kuyt made his debut for the Quick Boys’ first team of, which was playing at the highest amateur level in Holland. He played in the last six league matches of the season, scoring three goals as a seventeen year old.
His breakthrough at Quick Boys drew the attention of Eredivisie club FC Utrecht, who signed him in the summer of 1998. Kuyt was then mainly known for his hard work, but you could see there were more qualities to come. His technique became better and he would soon develop into one of the fittest Dutch professional football players ever.

It’s a testimony to his fitness that he has amazingly missed only 5! of 238 league matches in the last 7 years. Kuyt hit the heights with FC Utrecht in the 2002-2003 season. In his final match for FC Utrecht, the Dutch Cup final against Feyenoord in 2003 he contributed with one goal in a 4-1 victory. It was his first big prize. Ready for a higher level, he was transferred to Feyenoord that summer.

At the Rotterdam club, he soon became the most important player of the club and developed into a fantastic team player and a regular goalscorer. In his three seasons with Feyenoord he scored 20, 29 and 22 goals respectively. During his period with Feyenoord, he made his debut in the Dutch national team against Liechtenstein on 3rd September 2004, confirming the progress he'd made as a footballer.

He became topscorer of the Eredivisie in 2005, scoring 29 goals. In fact, that was his only highlight with Feyenoord, finishing 3rd, 4th and 3rd with Feyenoord in the Eredivisie. His desire to win prizes made him hungry for a bigger club. In Liverpool, he has found exactly that.

Real Madrid player Xabi Alonso profile

Xabi Alonso jersey , shorts and boots
Real Madrid player Xabi Alonso joined the club from Liverpool before the start of the 2009/10 campaign.
Xabi Alonso is originally from San Sebastian and Real Sociedad. He is also a Spanish international playing regularly for the Spanish national team.
For Real Madrid Xabi Alonso wears the number 22 jersey while for the Spanish national Xabi wears the jersey number 14.

The name written on the jersey is ALONSO. But in order to distinguish ALONSO from other Spaniards with the same name often Xabi Alonso is referred to as XABI which is a much less common name.
For Real Madrid the jersey number 14 is worn by a Real Madrid legend GUTI. Thus the number 14 jersey will only become available the moment Guti leaves the club. So therefore Xabi Alonso would have to settle for the number 22 jersey instead.

Xabi Alonso is sponsored by adidas. Meaning that adidas provides Xabi Alonso with the footwear he uses on the pitch. Of course Xabi is compensated for endorsing the adidas boots week after week.
The model is currently wearing is the adipure boot also used by e.g. Kaka’ and Granero.

Xabi wears his jersey on the outside of the shorts. In the above photo it is possible to see that there is a 22 on the left leg of the shorts. It also looks like the guards to protect the shins are kept in place by the use of tape. It looks like the shinguards are placed fairly high up and thus do not cover the lower part of the shin.

Real Madrid Player Iker Casillas Profile

Iker Casillas Jersey#1, shorts , gloves & boots
Iker Casillas is one of the world’s best goal keepers. He has made his way from the Real Madrid cantera – the youth department – and onto the club’s first team. He is also the goalie of choice for the national team.
Iker Casillas is very fast on the line with some incredible reflexes.

Iker Casillas is sponsored by Reebok thus his gloves (the most important tool for a goalie) + boots are both by Reebok. Most likely his shin guards are also by Reebok to make the collection complete. In the following photo both gloves and boots are visible. Iker is taping his socks at the bottom and at the top in order to keep both socks and guards in place during the match.
The jersey is a Champions League jersey therefore there is the small Spanish flag to the right of the chest and a Champions League star ball on the right arm sleeve. On the left arm sleeve there is special UEFA honorary badge for clubs which have won at least 4 Champions League titles in total or 3 Champions League titles in a row are allowed to wear. The badge has the total number or titles written which in the case of Real Madrid is 9 before the season 2009/10.

The Real Madrid goalie kit is from adidas. Adidas is the athletic apparel sponsor of Real Madrid Club de Futbol. Thus goalie jersey | goalie shorts | goalie socks are all from adidas. The official name and number kit is designed and produced by a British company called Sporting ID. On the backside of the jersey it is written CASILLAS and being the goal keepper he wears the jersey number one.
