Royally Excited!!!
It's after midnight and I have to be up early to head to DFW to catch my flight to JFK!! :) :) :) I of course like always wait until the last minute to pack so I just got done *and of course am prob bringing entirely toooo much, but a girl has to have options! But before heading to bed, I had to talk to you guys! :)
Last night my family and I celebrated my mom's birthday early. Her actual birthday is on Sunday, but I will of course be missing it because I will be in the Big Apple! :) Here are a couple of photos:
I was sooo excited about seeing William & Kate that I didn't realise how loud I was being gushing over everything with my twinkie (who I cannot wait to hug tomorrow!!!!!) that I woke up my brother-in-law who lives with us! ha I felt so bad :) I know not everyone was excited about the wedding like I was including Justin who could care less lol I grabbed my lap top (I was gmail chatting to Ezgi during the ceremony who lives in LONDON - lucky, lucky girl!) and went straight to my mom's at 4 AM who was also watching the wedding. She made me waffles and we snacked on ritz crackers and cheese as the morning went on :) I loved spending such a special moment with my mom :) I'll never forget exactly where I was at the moment William & Kate exchanged their vows :) Such a beautiful, elegant ceremony. I'll never get tired of looking at Kate - so simple, graceful and stunning!
Everytime they showed London and Big Ben my heart ached. I would do anything to be in London! I long so much for it :(
I stayed up despite having to be at work at 8 AM, but it was all worth it.

I hate having to miss my sweet mommy's birthday because birthday celebrations are such a big deal in my family :) As soon as we finished dinner I came home to go to bed. I'm normally a night owl, but last night was a special exception. I need to sleep in order to wake up at 3 AM to watch the Royal Wedding :) How beautiful was Kate?? Simply divine!

This is what being up at 3 AM and having to work at 8 AM looks like - ugly hair and big bags under my eyes! Thank goodness for Starbucks Skinny Vanilla Lattes! :) It was a long, busy day trying to get everything done in time at work since I will be missing three days next week. Still I don't regret getting no sleep :)
But you better believe as soon as I got home from work I went straight for my bed! :) And so that is why I have just now finished packing! I can't believe I will be in NYC tomorrow!!!! :) ahhhhhh!! I'm SO excited!!! I am so ready for this holiday :) I am SO ready to experience the City that Never Sleeps (I have a feeling we'll get along quite well!) with my sisters at my side :) And I cannot wait to meet all the fabulous bloggers we're going to meet up with! Especially Karina - who I get to meet right when I land :) My sweet darling has graciously rented a car and is picking us up right at JFK!!! How amazing and sweet is that?!?! Thank you, thank you, thank you Karina! I can't tell you how much it means to us. She has already shown me such hospitality and I can't wait to hug her and her precious Miguelito! :) They are already family to me! Ahhhh I cannot wait!!! :) I already love them so much!
So on that note, I really must get to bed! Please say a prayer of safe travels for Micaela and I :) I'll miss you guys when I'm gone! xoxo

Counting down to the Royal Wedding! :)
I am SOOOO excited that we are really only hours away to the Royal Wedding!!
I am of course going to be one of the crazy Americans who sets my alarm at 4 AM to get up to watch the fairy tale wedding unfold as it happens in real time. I love, love, love Kate and cannot wait to see what a beautiful bride she will be!
Anyone who knows me knows how much I love London. I'm obsessed. In my heart I know I belong there. My whole living room is decorated in London decor. Many of you have generously and thoughtfully added to my London collection. I can't tell you how much it means to me whenever you do. It's not that easy finding London decorations compared to Paris or even Italy, so it makes me the happiest girl in the world! :) My sweet, sweet Mandy sent me the most amazing gift in perfect timing for the special occasion...
She sent me the most adorable little lamp that casts a shadow of the London skyline:
*I wore my Union Jack necklace to work today in honour of the Big Day. It was a gift from the lovely M! I just love it so much!I cannot get over how adorable it is
When you place a tea light in the center and place the cover over I have the most beautiful silhouette of the city I love. It looks like London at sunset or sunrise. It really is just sooo amazing! I just sat there looking at my sweet lamp daydreaming of my heaven on earth! Thank you so much my darling Mandy for giving me such a unique and beautiful gift!!! xoxo
I received so many beautiful things for my birthday and I have yet to post them even though it's been almost two months ago!!! :( I'm SO sorry I'm so far behind. I promise to catch up and share all the amazing gifts that I received from all my lovely blog friends :)
Jess and I are "real life" girlfriends and since she knows me so well she knew I would be thrilled to be matched up with an English girl :) So she matched me up with sweet Claire and I am so happy she did!
*Because my heart truly does belong there
Claire didn't stop there. She continued to spoil me by sending me a little something extra straight from her home in England.
*How beautiful is this little tray? Perfect to sit my perfume on top of or a place to put my jewelry! I just loooove it!
I'm so thrilled to have met Claire! To read about what I sent her please visit her here.
I miss London with all my heart. Luckily thanks to Erin's "London Loves" posts, I can pretend I am where I belong. Even though it's never been my home, I feel so homesick for it so often :(
Oh to be in London tomorrow when all the festivites take place :(
But I will be up watching. So if any of you are watching this side of the pond, feel free to text/call/facebook me your thoughts on Kate's dress :)
xoxo
p.s. ONLY TWO DAYS UNTIL NYC!!!!!! :) Well less than two really! I cannot wait! I'm sooo excited to hug my twinkie again and to hug Karina for the first time! We just got off the phone and I just can't wait to finally get to hang out wiith her! It's going to be simply amazing!

Easter Sunday
Easter is one of my favourite holidays! I had such an amazing one this year. Church was so uplifting! My spirit felt renewed and my heart just full of joy. Afterwards my family and I ate at one of my favourite restaurants - Samurai of Tokyo - delicious Japanese hibachi!
After spending time with my amazing family, we went over to Philip's sister's house to spend time with his amazing family. I am truly blessed! We had such a good time laughing with everyone. Afterwards, Philip took me on a special movie date. I stayed up until 4 AM on Friday night reading "Water for Elephants" because I just could not put it down. I was so excited because my bff Stephanie and I had plans to go see it on Saturday afternoon. She ended up not being able to make it. With the book fresh in my mind I still wanted to go ahead and see it so I was going to go alone (Philip was working 2-10. Have you guys ever gone to a movie alone? For some reason the thought of this was causing me so much grief. A little pep talk from my soul mate April gave me the courage to go see a movie alone. The mall was crazy busy and by the time I found a parking spot the movie was already starting. Figuring I still had time since I would just miss the previews, I walked in only to find the longest line for the movies! By this point the movie had already started so I ended up leaving heartbroken.) If you knew my husband, you would know that unless it's Harry Potter or a movie based on a comic book, it's like pulling teeth to make him go to the movies. We hardly agree on the same movies so it's always a fight or a comprimise before we end up watching anything. He definitely was not thrilled to go see a movie starring "the guy from "Twilight." Based on all the chick flicks and romantic dramas I love, he was under the wrong impression of what the movie was going to be about. Still, my sweet husband decided he was going to take me :) Such a sweet gesture! :) I was so happy!!! It really meant a lot to me (it's the simple things!)
The movie was so beautiful!! And pleasantly stayed pretty true to the book. I love Reese just as much as Robert. I'm so glad I got to see it. And luckily Philip ended up enjoying it to :)
Tonight after working out at the gym with my girlfriend Yarei, I came home to Philip cooking hamburgers on the grill :) Needless to say I canceled out my sweat session with delicious cheeseburgers (he makes the best ones!) chips and ranch and cookies for dessert. I'm one happy girl sitting next to my husband, he with one puppy (who still has no name!! OMG) and me with Logan watching the Dallas Mavericks. Life is good xoxo
Hope everyone had an amazing Easter and a great start to the week!!!
p.s. I stayed up late on Saturday night thanks to this love of mine:
Makes me tear up!! I am desperately in love with the character Denny Duquette of "Grey's Anatomy." I looooove Jeffrey Dean Morgan. He's the epitome of sexy to me. That show could never be better than season 2 and I stayed up until almost 4 AM a second night in a row watching all the Denny and Izzy moments on the show via youtube. Now I can't stop thinking about him! I'm SO far behind on this show, like two seasons. I think it's time to revisit Seattle Grace again :) Thank goodness for netflix.

It's Friday, I'm in Love!
The weekend is nearly here and I'm excited! I love Easter weekend
and what this holiday means to me as a Christian

Lots of good friends are in town for the long holiday (unless you're like me and had to work on Good Friday!) and it's shaping up to be a pretty good weekend with lots of fun and laughs in store. This week was pretty good to me! Here's a couple of things that made me happy this week, in no particular order:
1. This is my husband and I in one of our natural habitats. Buffalo Wild Wings. This is what he likes to do. Play trivia and drink some beer.
Well on Monday he came with me to something I love to do...SPIN class!!! :) For the very first time ever. I never thought I'd see the day! I think I fell in love with him all over again that day ;) I was so proud to see him spinning next to me. Granted, he said he's never coming back (haha he thought it was going to be so simple. Such a man to think that right? That they can do anything and it will naturally come so easy to them! Now he truly sees how hardcore his wife really is! haha) but I loved that he tried it :)
2. My girlfriend Jillian was without electricity at the beginning of this week which meant an impromptu slumber party at my casa! I loved just laying in my spare bedroom sharing stories and giggling into the early hours - no matter that it was a work night
3. My sweet friend Laura let me borrow this book and I cannot put it down!
I haven't felt this way about a book since the Twilight series just completely captivated me. Perfect timing since the movie comes out this weekend! My bff Steph and I have plans to watch it tomorrow. I'm halfway through and I have a feeling it's not going to be hard for me to finish by the time our movie date gets here :) I love getting lost in this book!
*Me reading on my lunch break
4. The countdown to the Royal Wedding officially begins...Only one week until we have a new Princess. Kate's so beautiful and elegant. I never get tired of looking at her! I absolutely can't wait to see her in her wedding dress. I am going to be up early to watch it in real time and pretend I was actually where I am supposed to be...London :(5. Another countdown I am sooo excited about?? ONE week until I am in NYC (NYC!!!!!! ahhh!) with my twinkie girl and sister Maria! I absolutely cannot wait!!! It's going to be amazing!

Since it's already in the 90's here in Texas (we've already hit 100 degrees ya'll!) and not sweater weather, I decided I needed to buy one to wear in NYC. So I got this adorable one on etsy:
One thing I'm not loving????? My honey on American Idol getting voted off :( I was sulking last night.
I love you Stefano! Such a cutie!!! :) I looked forward to that smile every week. I have officially lost all interest in this season. What are you loving??
Happy Easter weekend loves!!! I hope you have an amazing one! :)
*Sorry for such a long, photo heavy post. It's what happens when I don't post in nearly a week :) I've missed you guys!!!
